This lodge was built by Radslav Vchynsky in the 16th century. Radslav Vchynsky bought from Rudolf II a part of the Dubí forests and established there a deer park with forester´s lodge. It had been named after the colour of the blood of the animals hunted and, later on it was renamed to „Barvář“, which name originates from the German term of Schweissjäger.
